Marvell-ous Begining

Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted

Dan Sanford

40 months of work experience and i couldn't understand the meaning of this statement. However it got crystal cleared within 3 minutes one fine day. I resigned (lay off !! ) from my previous company and have joined a new one. Work wise nothing would change i guess ( it might get better ).What is more difficult i how i adapt to new environment, new people (and hence new friends) and overcome the fact that i can't keep missing my old office.

I was ghastly shocked / sad when i resigned as i had never thought of such situation. What was more bad was the untimely occurrence of the event. After the initial hiccup, where the whole world seemed against me, i now think that whatever has happened did happen for a cause which was to open my eyes.

It is in this period that i came to know who my real friends / well-wishers are. I called up some people considering them to be my friends but i was greeted with the words "will call u later" and hunged up to be never called back again. And then there were people, who called me up on their own and gave me all sorts of moral support (which was the need of the hour), some even from outside india ( Just shows how popular i am ;) ). Also it gave me some time to introspect myself and figure out where i stand today in the given scenario, how well can i cope with it, what are my strengths and where do i lack. Hence the real "eye opener".

Another bad thing that happened in the previous week was the Mumbai terrorist attacks. My deepest condolences for the victims of the attacks. We must thank the NSG commandos / fire-fighters / police and all ppl involved in the grueling attack and should be proud of their bravery. Hats off to them. Somebody please give me Raj Thackeray's phone number coz i want to ask him where is he hiding now? , Where is his marathi manus theory gone and his sena of dacoits who can vandalize at an examination centre on poor and innocent students, but are left hiding under their beds when a real trouble came. Also the NSG commandos who risked their lives never said that this is an issue in a marathi speaking region, hence we won't go there. They treated the attack on motherland and did what a true Indian should do.

But then, the good part is that atleast now some steps would be taken and stringent actions performed to ensure such stupid security lapses do not occur again in future.

Coming back to my new job, i still have to get to the terms and conditions b4 i feel settled in. Till then .. tata :)
